Sonia Gandhi slammed political party BJP, which attacked the government over corruption and recent scams saying that BJP should first concentrate on its in-house issues. She pointed out that Congress has taken fast action against its members involved in corruption but, BJP on the other hand denied sacking BS Yeddyurappa, Karnataka Chief Minister who is alleged to be involved in giving away government land to members of his family.
Mrs Gandhi said this while addressing her party MPs. She is also likely to discuss her party’s approach to deal with the deadlock in Parliament which continued for the entire winter session of the Parliament in political issues.
No significant work could be carried out in the Parliament in the entire session due to the vigorous demands of the Opposition to hold a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation over the 2G Spectrum issue. However, the government says that the scam is already being probed by the Public Accounts Committee led by the Opposition Leader.
